Frequently Asked Questions
How can I make a booking?
You can make an appointment by completing our referral form on our website or by emailing enquiries@brightbugstherapy.com. We’ll get back to you as soon as possible to discuss your referrals and book an appointment.

How much do sessions cost?
We charge by the hour at the standard NDIS rate. Should the NDIS rate be adjusted, our rate will automatically align with it. Our clients will be notified of any changes via email from our admin team.

As you are mobile, do I have to pay a travel cost?
Yes, we do charge a small travel fee as we are a mobile service. Travel rates are based of the Modified Monash Model and will be discussed in more detail prior to commencement of service. If you would like more detail on this prior to submitting your referral please email enquiries@brightbugstherapy.com.

What funding do you accept?
We currently provide services to children with NDIS funding that is either 'plan managed' or 'self-managed,' as well as through Medicare and private payment. At this time, we do not accept NDIA-managed referrals.

How do I pay for the session?
-
After each therapy session our team will send out an invoice to be paid within 7 days or before the next appointment, whichever is sooner.
-
If you’re NDIS Self-Managed or Privately paying, the invoice will have details to pay via direct deposit or you can opt-in for direct debit.
-
If you’re NDIS Plan-Managed, your plan manager will be sent the invoice for payment.

What if I need to cancel a session?
If you need to cancel within 48hours of a scheduled appointment, we will work with you on alternate options such as; rescheduling, creating resources during that time, doing a report or working with other health professionals involved with your child.
If none of the above are possible, a cancellation fee of 100% is applicable.

Do you have a clinic?
We are a mobile therapy company. So we do therapy at your home, your child’s school, kindergarten or daycare.

How do I stay involved in occupational therapy services if you are seeing my child at school or kindy?
After each session at school or kindy, we will send through clinical notes via email detailing progress on your child's goals, wins during the session, struggles and more specifics for each client. Parent consultations are also regularly scheduled with the therapist working with your child to ensure a collaborative and family centred approach is maintained.

Do you offer Telehealth sessions?
Yes we offer telehealth for occupational therapy services. Please let us know your preference when completing your referral form.
